When in doubt, use openbox.

One minute read

I remember when I started using Linux full time. It was back then that unless you had a couple of conky’s running, a taskbar and a desktop full of icons you didn’t matter in the world. It kinda resembled the rest of the world at the late 90s, early 2000s. Bright, loud and full of everything.

Then we age, and our tools age with us:

Openbox

(right click and view image for the full resolution)

(Emacs, tint2 bottom bar with an awesome icon showing the current desktop, the current playing mpd track, a system tray and a keyboard language indicator).

Some more info (like weather, storage and memory left) appear in a dunst notification when invoked with a keyboard shortcut.
